Making Kimchi and the joy of snow in a 5 year old's heart

Here is a Preschool flipout over snow,
Pure Joy!

Let's set up the tables to make Kimchi.

Do you remember the pictures from September when my students planted cabbages?
They went back to the farm to pick the cabbages.  The cabbage was soaked in salt water for a few days
before my students made Kimchi.

It's Kimchi Time!

 What is Kimchi?
Well it's primarily cabbage.
Also,  in our recipe there was oysters, anchovy juice, scallions, spices, ginger, chopped radish and garlic.

There are a lot of variations of Kimchi but they all have red Chili in it.

Here's a happy Kimchi Customer.

Saraksan National Park and Pottery Field Trip with the students.

Here are some pictures on the bus trip to Saraksan National Park.  The ride was about two and a half hour drive.  We rented one of the busses from our school.

It looked a little like Pennsylvania on the drive.

We arrived at Saraksan.

Here is the hotel we stayed at.

Buddha Statue

There were many steps to climb on Saturday.

You can see the ocean at the top of the picture.

We went on another hike on Sunday

It is really far down!

The Buddhist Cave very high up in the mountain.

The view out of the cave, The cave was as high as the clouds.

The funny and cute signs at Saraksan.
